Hyderabad: None of the 10 Turncoat BRS mlas was appointed in the five TPCC committees announced Thursday by AICC. However, the mayor of GHMC, Gadwala Vijayalakshmi, and his father, K Keshava Rao – who both defected the BRS at the Congress – were appointed respectively within the delimitation committee and veterans and the elderly.Certain senior party leaders exclude the possibility that turncoats are appointed to key positions in the party, such as work presidents. However, there is pressure within the party to offer one or two cabinet posts to turncoats in order to keep them in the fold of the congress. The 10 Turncoat MLAS remained largely silent despite the fact that the leaders of the BRS moved the Supreme Court to request instructions from the speaker to act on their disqualification petitions. They stayed with the congress despite the continuous uncertainty about the partial elections of their constituencies. The 10 deputies of BRS who joined the congress after the elections in the 2023 assembly are – Kadiyam Srihari (Ghanpur station), Danam Nagender (Khairatabad), Tellam Venkat Rao (Bhadramchalam), Pocharam Srinivas Reddy (Banswada), Manjay Kumar (Jagtial) (Banswada), Manjay Kumar (Jagtial), Kaledah (Chevellau Bandla Krishna Mohan Reddy (Gadwal), Prakash Goud (Rajendrandar), Arekapudi Gandhi (Serilingampalli) and Godem Mahipal Reddy (Patancheru).Among these, only the deputy of Banswada and the former president of the Telangana Legislative Assembly, Pocharam Srinivas Reddy, were appointed adviser to the government of the State on agriculture. However, the Chamber of Congress in power is divided on the office of the cabinet or the posts of president who work with defectors. A section of the elders of Congress considers that there is already a continuous flaw between the Congress camps and the turncoat in the constituencies, which the party leadership has not resolved so far.Another section, however, does not oppose the turncoats important messages like the vice-president. In fact, there is a speech in the circles of Gandhi Bhavan on the revival of “Operation Akarsh” to conduct driving in more deputies and leaders of the BRS at the Congress, in particular following the recent “Bottle letter” by the MLC Kavitha of BRS to his father and to the president of BRS K Chandrasekhar Rao. Some people argue that the party actively courts these defectors, BR leaders could rather turn to the BJP.A senior AICC leader said that the High Command of the Party would make the final decision because the names of certain Turncoat deputies had been submitted to them for examination in the cabinet and for party posts. For example, leaders like the Danam Nagender deputy joined the congress brs, to return to the Grand Old Party Firm. Stempchers with previous links with the congress can be taken into account by the AICC, said the chief.
