The murder stables

A labyrinth threatening with dilapidated structures played an important role in the childhood of East Harlem by Joseph Valachi. The structures, constructed and rebuilt over time from thrown debris thrown away, packaging boxes and old iron in sheets, stood at the corner of First Avenue and East 108th Street. They included waste collection and rag stores, storage of wagons and other commercial uses. At the heart of the dilapidated complex was a stable infamous pension for criminal activity.
