Mumbai: There is no end to the influx in the directed by Sharad Pawar Ncp (SP) for the Assembly election. While the independent politician of Ulhasnagar Omie Kalani, son of the controversial politician Papu Kalani, joined the NCP (SP) a few days ago, the legislator of Madha, Baban Shinde, and the veteran bureaucrat and the former divisional commissioner of Konkan, Vijay Nahata, are ready to join the party in the coming days.
Indapur Bjp politician Harshavardhan Patil has already joined the Sharad Pawar Camp, while the vice-president of the state of the BJP and former deputy Sanjay Kakde is also on the way to the NCP (SP).
The legislator of NCP (SP), Jeetendra Awhad, said that many eminent politicians from the whole state were eager to join the party before the election of the assembly which followed. “Many politicians have approached us and we will consider their plea,” said Awhad.
Veteran bureaucrat Nahata said he was planning to join NCP (SP) on Thursday, but since Sharad Pawar was not in the office, he postponed it by a day. “I am determined to join the NCP led by Sharad Pawar,” said Nahata.
After the split in SHIV Sena, Nahata had joined the Eknath Shinde camp. He expected an appointment in the elections of the Belapur or Airoli assembly in the Thane district. When he was informed that the BJP marked a complaint on the two seats, he decided to leave the SHIV SENA and to join the NCP (SP). Nahata awaits a appointment of Belapur or Airoli.
The city’s aspirants, Thane, Navi Mumbai, Raigad and Palghar had a meeting with the president of the NCP State (SP), Jayant Patil, the president opening Supriya Sule and the former interior minister Anil Deshmukh. “A large number of politicians have approached a PCN for an appointment in the assembly elections, and we will make a decision very soon,” said a politician of PFN (SP).
The politician said that the negotiations on the seats sharing formula were in the last step. So far, a consensus has been reached on 225 seats, while there is a dispute over 63 seats. “We will solve the dispute in a week,” he said.
