Two alleged members of Barrio Azteca, an allied gang of the Juarez cartel, were extradited from Mexico to the United States to face accusations related to the 2010 murders of the US Consulate employees in Juarez, Mexico.
Eduardo “Tablas” Ravelo and Enrique “Kiki” Guajardo Lopez arrived in the United States on February 20 and made their first appearances yesterday in the western district of Texas. Ravelo, a former fugitive most sought after by the FBI top 10, and Guajardo were charged in a third object of 12 non -sealed counts in March 2011.

Murder of an American consulate employee

According to court documents, Ravelo and Guajardo participated in BA activities, including drug trafficking and acts of violence by members of Barrio Azteca, Mexico and the United States. If he is sentenced, Ravelo and Guajardo are each incur a maximum sentence of life for life.
