A member of the violent Gang H-Block, based in Boston, pleaded guilty to the Boston Federal Court this week for accusations of drug plot. Jason Bly, 44, of Quincy, admitted to having managed the distribution of cocaine for the gang. His conviction was scheduled for June 17, 2025.
Boston block gang
According to charge documents, the Gang H-Block Street is one of the most dreaded and influential city gangs in Boston. Originally formed in the 1980s under the name of Humboldt Raiders in the Boston Roxbury section, the gang reappeared in the 2000s under the name of H-Block. The current members of H-Block have a history of violent confrontation with the police, including an incident in 2015 when a member shot on a Boston Police Officer in Point Blank without warning or provocation.

Bly was one of the 10 members and associates of the H-Block gangs charged in August 2024 following a multi-year investigation into H-Block from 2021 in response to an increase in drug trafficking linked to gangs, fire and violence. According to court documents, more than 500 grams of cocaine, basic cocaine (cocaine crack) and fentanyl, as well as more than 20,000 doses of drug addicts were seized during the investigation.
Wholesale quantities
The survey has identified Bly as a longtime member of a Gang H-Block and a supplier of wholesale quantities of cocaine for distribution. During this survey, Bly provided the Codefender and Gang H-Block colleague, Avery Lewis, a quarter of a kilogram of cocaine.
According to court documents, BLY’s criminal history includes a conviction in 2016 for attempted assault and drums with a firearm and possession of a firearm without a license during an incident where he pulled several bullets from a firearm in H-Block territory. He was also sentenced in 2024 for assault and drums with a dangerous weapon during the incident during which he threw a cup of hot coffee with another man during an argument for which he is currently in probation until June 2025.
Bly is the third accused of pleading guilty in the case. Lewis pleaded guilty on January 21, 2025 and should be sentenced on May 13, 2025.
The accusations of conspiracy to have with the intention of distributing cocaine and possession with the intention of distributing cocaine each provide a sentence of up to 20 years in prison, at least three years and up to a supervised liberation life and a fine of up to $ 1 million.
