Connecticut school construction manager Kosta Diamantis believed the state's ethics laws and a 2016 U.S. Supreme Court case allowed him to pocket about $70,000 in exchange for introducing his former brother-in-law's masonry business to a prominent general contractor, a federal jury heard Thursday.
