By Hailey Konnath (October 23, 2025, 9:57 PM EDT) — A former top aide to former Michigan House Speaker Lee Chatfield has pleaded guilty to embezzlement from a political nonprofit while working for the state and, as part of a plea deal, agreed to provide “truthful testimony at future hearings,” according to an announcement Thursday.
