The head of the Congress and president of the Women’s Cooperative Development Corporation Bandru Sobha Rani broke out the Huzurabad MP of Huzurabad Padi Kaushik Reddy for having sent bracelets via Courier to deputies who defeated BRS to conmission, by comparing them to women.
Addressing a press meeting in Gandhi Bhavan on Wednesday, Ms. Sobha Rani symbolically expressed her dissatisfaction by raising a Chappal and demanding immediate apology from him.
Ms. Sobha Rani, as well as other leading leaders, notably the presidents of Arya Vahya Corporation Sujata and Bojja Sandhya Reddy, condemned Mr. Kaushik Reddy’s statements against defective deputies, describing them as disrespectful and offensive.
They demanded an immediate action against the deputy, calling for his suspension to the assembly. They also urged the Telangana State Women’s Commission to get to know Suo Motu from the issue and initiate an investigation into the MLA’s remarks.
Ms. Sobha Rani said that leaders like Kaushik Reddy, “who lack respect for women,” was to be held responsible. She warned that if the MLA does not apologize to Telangana women, they will intensify their protests and increase the question.
“We will not tolerate any insult to women. If he does not apologize, we will make sure that he faces legally and politically consequences,” she added.
