Kitchen Nightmares Wiseguy to Open New Restaurants in Manhattan, Ft. Lauderdale

Peter Pasta, who seems to have something to smile about these days.
This is according to a source who recently alerted us to a Reddit post which says: “Plans for new Peter's restaurant are in the works in New York and South Florida…Stay tuned.”

Pellegrino is in the “early stages of planning” the restaurants, the source said, adding that the Florida one will likely open on Los Olas Blvd. in Fort Lauderdale.

A high-profile celebrity partner is involved and an official announcement will be made after the new year. In May, we reported that Peter Pasta was among the Bonannos who benefited from Michael (Mikey Nose) Mancusothe reorganization of the Bonanno family last Christmas. Pellegrino moved from acting capo to official capo and oversees a Bonanno crew in Florida and an allied ally with the Albanians in Ridgewood, Queens.

Peter Pasta splits his time between New York and Florida (he flies about every six weeks) and has a house in Middle Village and a beachfront condo in the Sunshine State, we're told.

Last March, Pellegrino was arrested in Ridgewood, Queens, while collecting.

He and other Bonannos had to report to Manhattan and give voiceprints to the federal government earlier this year.

We also have information on how, following the recent death of Vincenzo LoScalzo, Peter Pasta's Florida team is absorbing some remnants of the old Trafficante family. Those of you who know the story of Sonny Black (and our theory on how he may have ripped off his own borgata) will know part of the context of the relationship between the two families. We aresave this material for a follow-up piece.
