A rare primary source in the history of the mafia of the Castellammarese War era, Joseph Valachi also described the first East Harlem gangland, Manhattan and the Bronx, and provided a unique view at the level of the soldiers of the crime organized in the New York region of the Apalachin prohibition. Valachi, a first FBI informant, Valachi was at the center of a best -selling book and a popular film, as well as television testimonies from the Senate and a long autobiography. However, a large part of the True Valachi history has remained indexed.
Now, 60 years after Valachi has put a pen on paper to tell its story, a team of historians from around the world reveals long hidden aspects of their life and investigating the individuals who influenced it.
