A war of words broke out last week between the president of Mexico and the lawyer for one of the most notorious drug lords in the country, Joaquín “El Chapo” Guzmán.
Jeffrey Lichtman – which represents both Sinaloa cartels El Chapo and his son, Ovidio – accused President Claudia Sheinbaum of defending the drug cartels in Mexico.
Lichtman told Sheinbaum: “Acts more like the arm of the public relations of a drug trafficking organization than as the chief of honest Mexicans.”
