Do you want to be a successful artist or do you want to be a gangster? Because you can’t be both. Once you are tangled in the streets, they will kill you. Turned and killed or burst and imprisoned. Say goodbye to your lucrative career and your freedom. No champagne square for you. Rapper Migo Lee can probably relate right now.

Khali “Migo Lee” Brown was on the way to the celebrity of hip hop. He gathered fans and streams and picked up steam for a brilliant future in the world of music. But the investigators found that rap was only a lateral agitation. His real career was in crime.

Kennedy Street Crew: Video and Instagram clip

In art, there is always a fine line between facts and fiction. Migo Lee’s work was no different. As Migo Lee, Khali Brown was the main public face of the Kennedy street crew (KDY), operating as an engine of violence linked to the crew through the oxen invented by his social media activity and musical.

In a rap career, the street credit is everything. If it is used as a tactic, it was not bad. But if it’s real life, then you shouldn’t spread such things in public. Unless you are a Mexican pivot and you have corrupted half of the government.

But Migo Lee was different. The clips have put an end more on the dangerous it presents. Generally, in his videos, Migo Lee has glorified violence, referring to himself by the slogan used among the members of the Kdy crew, “Young and Violent”, and / or being characterized as part of “Seal Team 6” or “ST6”, evoking militarist tactics to eliminate opposition. He is known to have produced “dissolved” clips that taunt members of the rival crew, including those who have been murdered.

Fans – and others, here are you look, federal – keeping a trace of Migo Lee’s social media accounts also noticed how the rapper emerged knew his way in the drug world. He regularly used Instagram To announce its narcotics, the most mainly of the pills, for sale. Regardless of advertisements, Migo Lee also regularly boasted on the social networks of the booty of his drug trafficking and his meetings with the police.

This is not how you use a criminal business.

You also try to minimize violence in places where you carry out illegal activities. But Migo Lee was already living his life as much as possible and, like all social media users, probably considered everything a “good content” that would get a lot of “tastes”.

Early in the morning of October 10, 2022, the county police of Prince Georges were called for a report of a shooting in a reserve in Bowie, Maryland, which Migo Lee maintained. After having executed a search warrant, the police have recovered three firearms, as well as many ammunition cycles, firearms and large capacity magazines.

Throughout the residence, the agents found and entered nearly $ 47,000 in cash. They also seized 103 pounds of marijuana stored in hull luggage; 66.2 grams of cocaine crack; and an aggregate of 106.4 grams of oxycodone pills and 79.6 grams of methamphetamine pills.

Khali “Migo Lee” Brown, his brothers Keion and Miasiah, as well as the crew member Jovan Williams, lived at Maison Bowie, MD,. Despite the mother of the Browns, denying the police that anyone who had been injured during the shooting, the agents who responded noticed several ball holes in the living room window, blood on the living room floor, envelopes of shells spent and a drag of blood near the front door.

Use social media to make fun of yourself

Migo Lee’s social media activity led the police to confirm another of its hiding place, this on the 1700 block on rue D, ne. On the morning of January 26, 2023, DEA and ATF agents prohibited at Baltimore-Washington International Airport (BWI), where Migo Lee and several other Kdy members were arrested while returning to a flight fell from Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) as a smuggling of Marijana.

In Bwi, Migo Lee and the member of the Herman Signou team managed to escape the police, but the ATF surveillance agents followed their vehicle at the residence on rue D. MPD officers watched the two men enter the house with two luggage. The police compared the open source photos from the inside of the house to Instagram stories published by Migo Lee, and noticed distinct characteristics of the show which were also present in its Instagram advertisements.

When the police entered the Street house, they found Migo Lee with two of his brothers and three others. Discussed throughout the basement of the House of Hopper agents found 10 loaded firearms, two of whom were machine guns. Four of these firearms were found in a suitcase resembling an officer had seen Migo Lee wear while he entered the house earlier in the day. The suitcase also contained bulk quantities of marijuana, 351 counterfeit oxycodone pills in fentanyl and 50 oxycodone pills.

Migo Lee’s DNA was included on two of the 10 recovered firearms from the Street residence: a 9 mm Glock 17 handgun with an erased serial number equipped with a machine-gun conversion device that was used in November 18, 2022, pulling in Jackson high school northwest of DC; And a 29mm Glock pistol equipped with an extended magazine.

The DNA of Keion Brown, Migo Lee’s brother, was included on three firearms, including a Glock 45 9 mm handgun equipped with an extensive magazine. The Glock 4 was linked to two shots on October 10, 2022, one to Takoma Park and another in the south-east of Washington DC

On June 26, 2023, Khali “Migo Lee” Brown was arrested with Tristan “Greedy” Ware and Miasiah Brown in a hiding place known in the Fifth and O NW streets, where Khali and Miasiah Brown were observed by narcotic transactions in application of the law.

The police were able to identify the apartment as being associated with Migo Lee on the basis of a clip which he published shortly before his arrest. The agents found six loaded firearms hidden in the apartment, four of whom were machine guns; a large capacity drum magazine; almost $ 3,000 in cash; And many bags containing approximately 3.5 kilograms of marijuana packed for distribution.

Prosecutors say that Kennedy Street crew members have operated outdoor drug markets on a stretch of 11 Kennedy Street Houses in the northwest of Washington, DC, as well as in the surrounding streets. The group armed itself with the power of fire to facilitate drug trade and defend its territory against rival teams.

Guilty

Faced with a mountain of evidence (a large part of himself), Migo Lee pleaded guilty on September 20, 2024, for a conspiracy to distribute 100 kilograms or more marijuana, fentanyl and oxycodone. He also pleaded guilty of a firearm to continue an offense of drug trafficking and aggression with a dangerous weapon.

His brother Keion pleaded guilty on the same day for a conspiracy to distribute 100 kilograms or more marijuana and oxycodone and to have a firearm in the pursuit of a crime of drug trafficking.

Last week, January 16, 2025, Khali “Migo Lee” Brown, 23, was sentenced to 14 years in federal prison. His 21 -year -old brother Keion was sentenced to over 12 years old.

They will be relatively young when they get out of prison. But maybe too old for rap game. Their street credit will be through the roof, but in the end, music music does not concern street credit. These are beats and hooks. It is a question of producing successes and not performing successes.

Most importantly, a life offers a way out. A way to get out of anything. Poverty. Negativity. Solitude. Not only for the artist, but perhaps it also serves as inspiration for listeners. The other life only offers misery for all parties involved. The end is also predictable.

Maybe Migo Lee can use this end as inspiration. Maybe he comes back stronger and better. One thing is certain: he has made himself ten times more difficult for himself.
