Trump joins Putin against Zelenskyy – New York Daily News

The American government, supposedly an ally of a Democratic Ukraine who is fighting against a Russian invasion, has its leaders acting much more as lawyers for the Kremlin in peace negotiations, adopting the direct line of Moscow.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has enough enemy in Vladimir Putin, he doesn’t need more of the White House.

Always a fanboy of Putin, President Trump complained yesterday that Zelenskyy prolongs the war By not accepting the surrender that Trump pushes in peace talks. And Vice-President JD Vance matters 100% with the Tsar who wants to be.

And Secretary of State Marco Rubio jumped a Ukrainian war meeting of European allies in London yesterdayWashington again, showing Moscow side of our British, French and German friends. At least they are still with Ukraine.

As Vance said yesterday: “We have issued a very explicit proposal to the Russians and the Ukrainians, and it is time for them to say yes or for the United States to move away from this process.” The proposal is so tilted towards Moscow, achieving all their war objectives that they could not win on the battlefield, that kyiv will get better if the United States drops the plan.

Vance added: “The only way to really stop murder is that the armies depict their weapons, to freeze this thing and to continue to build better Russia and a better Ukraine. We will freeze the territorial lines at a certain level near the place where they are today.”

A gel is a victory for Putin, the attacker, whose troops, as well as the North Korean mercenaries, retain the Ukrainian territory seized since the start of Putin’s “special military operation”, while the former Lieutenant-Colonel du KGB appointed his uninsured assault, the greatest war in Europe since the wwi canons of Wwi.

Vance explained: “The current lines, or somewhere near them, are there that you are finally, I think, to trace the new lines of the conflict. Now, of course, this means that the Ukrainians and the Russians will both have to abandon part of the territory they currently have. ”

A real peace would be the status quo ante Bellum, the lines as before February 24, 2022. Yes, to return to this date, there was a low -ranking war in the Donbas, in the east of Ukraine and Russia would still only hold Crimea, which he caught in 2014. But the invasion would be reserved, unauthorized, as Trump and Putin are looking for.

There was always a question about how Soviet leader Nikita Khrushchev “gave” Crimea “With its large Russian population, in Ukraine in Russia in 1954. It was just a symbolism when the two were part of the Soviet Union, but since the USSR dissolved in real independent (and hostile) countries in 1991, this was much more important.

But for all the claims of Russia in Crimea, the higher principle is that territorial disputes cannot be settled by force. Recognizing de facto Russian sovereignty in Crimea is a non-beginner for Ukrainians, as well as prohibiting Ukraine from joining NATO, another of Putin’s objectives that Trump supports.

While the Ukrainians rightly oppose all this, a oral tip of the Kremlin is praise: “The United States continues its mediation efforts, and we certainly welcome these efforts.” Unfortunately, as it is true.
